Always looking for high quality final products, in 1987 STM was one of the first Design Offices in Italy to acquire CAD stations with 3D solid modellers, equipping with different graphics packages in order to meet clients’ needs.

From 1995 STM has started collaborations with aerospace companies, establishing inside the group itself a specialized workshop in design and calculation capable to take part in many revelant Space Projects.

In April 1998 STM participated to create AIPAS (Italian Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Aerospace Association), with center to Rome, in order to coordinate teams of companies active in the sector of space applications and to face future’s new technological challenges.

Aiming to give customers a more complete service STM has placed the design office side by side with a laboratory where qualified personnel checks and assembly mechanical prototypes, so that it is possible to supply not only drawings but also finished items.

An appropriate machining laboratory has been equipped with 3 axis center job, lathe, drill and other fitting tools to manage directly also finished parts and for further reducing total time in realization of prototypes.
